It has been reported that over 70 Division 1 programs changed head coaches this past off season. The local scene is too going through mass changes.
Johnson- Audra Bredemeyer resigned. Replaced by Randy Evans
Clemens- Former Johnson assistant and Clemens head coach, Corey Tackitts reportedly went to Floresville as boys coach.
Brennan- Open due to Randy Evans departure.
Lee- Reportedly lost head coach, William Taylor, to John Jay boys team.
Antonian- Is interviewing for a new coach. Reports have SA Heat club coach, Koby Cantu as eventual head coach.
Incarnate Word- Rumor has it that Troy Patterson may not return and the position is open. A source close to the school suggest that this is the case.
Floresville-The very well respected Greg McWilliams took a job in San Angelo at Central High School.
More movement is probable. A coach of a playoff team in the NISD is supposedly seeking a boys job. He was offered another girls job but turned it down in pursuit of eventually going to boys side. Do not be surprised to see this happen often over the few years. Many girls coaches will parlay their success on the girls side to earn boys basketball jobs, draw your own conclusions.
