Shocking the World!!

The Wichita State Shockers have added not one, but two of our local stars. SA Finest Basketball players, Briana Jones and Kayla White, committed to WSU head coach Jody Adams on Wednesday night.

White, a guard for East Central HS, was the first to make the important call and declare her intent. Jones, a forward at Madison HS, followed suit a short while later.

Coach Adams and the Shocker coaching staff have been keeping a close eye on both kids for awhile. The staff were compelled to offer both players at a recent elite camp. Both, White and Jones, had the opportunity to stand out during skill set sessions, camp scrimmages and in games with current WSU players. Coach Jody Adams played at Tennessee for the great Pat Summitt and won a NCAA Championship. She runs her program with the vigor of a Pat Summitt disciple.

The overwhelming attributes that the WSU staff came away impressed with were the skill set of both players and how remarkable they were OFF of the court as well.

Kayla White and Briana Jones have played with SA Finest Basketball since middle school. Both of them were middle school post players with no experience at the wing and guards positions. To transform their game to earn a ride to one of the best mid-major programs in the country is a testament to hard work and environment!
