Lady Rohawk Respect!

The 6th annual SA Lady Rohawk "Ladies First" event is this weekend. This event is the biggest thus far. Having a few tournaments under my belt, I understand how difficult it is to "earn" respect. Events are plentiful and travel costs are expensive. The Lady Rohawk event is unique in that it features more out of town teams than local teams. Consistently getting 30 plus teams from outside of San Antonio is a show of the respect that Charlie Harper has in the club circles around the state. In fact, very seldom will DFW Elite, one of the best organizations in the country, play their top team in non-certified events. That is exactly what happened at last year's Lady Rohawk event when T-Jack made an appearance. Yes, some event operators can get less than competitive teams to come to SA, but Harper has some of the most respected clubs in the state, every year. Last year, 20 plus college coaches attended the event and a few kids earned college rides because of the exposure. This event puts the "Ladies First" indeed.
