A coach emailed this response to the "No Longer Depressed Blog". She has coached in the Midwest and in the south. She writes,
"My take on the blog today: A big difference between teams that you saw this past weekend and the teams of the south is the tendency of parents to first yell at refs and coaches as opposed to their own kids. Unfortunately, this isn't exclusive to athletics, but is also the academic mind set of our parents down here as well."
